Different Ways to Support Us
To ensure equality among all students, our donors support an entire intake rather than one individual.
Sponsorships support more than Sala Baï students’ training; they also cover meals, medical care, social support, and accommodation.
This holistic support allows the students to grow into skilled, healthy, and independent young adults who can support their families and contribute to Cambodia’s economic development.
Thanks to your regular donation,we can sustain our actions over time and continue our mission to support the most disadvantaged.

How Your Donation is Used
At Sala Baï, we are committed to ensuring your generosity goes where it matters most: to the students. 85% of your donation is dedicated directly to our social programs in Cambodia, covering the cost of vocational training, accommodation, food, medical care, and social support for our 150 students each year.
We keep our administrative costs to a strict minimum, ensuring that every dollar, euro, or pound you give directly fights poverty and human trafficking. Your support doesn’t just fund a school; it builds a bridge to employment and financial independence for young Cambodians and their families.

Testimonies from Donors
Title
Hi, My name is Michel Phung. I’m Khmer and a French citizen.
I first learned about Sala Baï from Jacques Hybert, my cooking teacher in Sainte Anne Vocational High School in Saint-Nazaire. I tried to help when I could. I visited the school in 2009 and 2024, and since then I have been inspired by Sala Baï’s mission and the incredible work they do. To me Sala Baï represents hope, compassion, expertise and the power of community. Not only they empower women, but their dedication to providing education and training skills to underprivileged young adults truly resonates with me. Being able to raise awareness on the conditions of my colleagues in Siem Reap as given me a sense of purpose and a chance to make a positive impact. I’m so proud to be part of the Sala Baï family and look forward to continuing this meaning full journey together.
G’day! I’m Max Player, builder, hotelier, and one of the founders of the Blue Mountains Hotel Management School.
I’ve had the privilege of seeing how Sala Baï Restaurant & Hotel School truly changes lives. The school offers a free, one-year vocational course, and for many young Cambodians, it’s their first real chance to build a future. It’s amazing to see so many former students now working in some of the best hotels around Siem Reap and across Cambodia—proof that the training here really works.
What makes Sala Baï stand out is its practical approach. Our curriculum is taught in Cambodian and English, with students gaining a solid ground in hospitality skills. Thanks to support from Friends of Sala Baï Australia and the Blue Mountains Hotel Management School, we’ve been able to improve the school’s quality of teaching and help staff grow.
I’m especially proud that every student gets help finding a job after graduation, The school’s straightforward approach and commitment to fairness reflect Cambodian values, and the staff’s enthusiasm creates a very positive place to learn.
Of course, keeping this going isn’t easy, ongoing financial support is always a challenge. That’s why growing our base of supporters is so important, so we can keep opening doors for Cambodian youth and help them and their families build brighter futures.
